In 2018, Red Hook Fest celebrates 25 years of free world-class music and dance performances on the scenic Brooklyn waterfront. This year’s festival will be June 1-2, 2018.

In Transition: Media

In Transition: Media provides 45 hours of instruction and project-based learning in the digital media production cycle, camera operation, audio recording, and video editing. Students gain the skills to work on a professional film set while creating original documentary films that tackle real-life issues.

The 2018 spring session is April 11 – May 22 on Tuesdays & Saturdays.

The program is open to anyone between the ages of 15-25. All participants earn hourly wages, made possible by Red Hook Initiative and South Brooklyn Community High School’s Learning to Work program.

Digital Boot Camp

DTE’s Digital Boot Camp program consists of in-school digital media residencies at NYC high schools as well as community-based media programs. All participants earn hourly wages for their participation in the program, made possible by the Red Hook Initiative and the South Brooklyn Community High School’s Learning to Work program.
