Every year the harbor-side neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn comes together for a summer jump-off. The Red Hook Fest features a global lineup of extraordinarily talented bands and dance companies, plus free activities for all ages like kayak rides in New York Harbor, face-painting, and an interactive scavenger hunt.
This year’s festival has a stellar line-up of artists, including reggae band Meta and The Cornerstones, Afro-modern hip-hop choreographer Francine E. Ott/The Walk, Japanese women drum ensemble Cobu, Afro-Cuban jazz and tap dance master Max Pollak/RumbaTap, and flex dance pioneer Reggie “Regg Roc” Gray and D.R.E.A.M. Ring dancers.
The Festival brings out more than 4,000 people throughout the weekend, both local residents and travelers from near and far. The largest single event each year in Red Hook, the festival highlights a one-of-a-kind Brooklyn neighborhood filled with art galleries, great food, and beautiful urban landscapes.
