Letter from the Executive Director

Dear Friends,
Hope your fall is off to a great start. I always love the fall for its feeling of a new beginning though my heart goes out to all those here in the States and the Caribbean that will be facing a long period of recovery from the devastation caused by Harvey, Irma, and Jose. My niece in Houston gave birth to her third child the day before Harvey hit and was lucky to get home, and even luckier to have experienced no flooding or loss of power.

We’re off to a busy fall with our school programs starting, and our after school media program beginning in October. To all parents, students, teachers, school staff, and teaching artists, I hope you all have a great school year.

Warmly,

Martha Bowers
